Actually there is a difference between mice and white rhinos. Mice have multiple cycles per year with multiple eggs ovulated per cycle and a high implantation rate resulting in multiple litters per year where as a white rhino can only breed about once per year in the wild during the rainy season and will carry their calf for about 2 to 3 years before delivery. They are also difficult to breed in captivity. They have to be monitored daily with an ulteasound probe that is several feet long for ovulatory timing and the number of times the male mounts the female must be counted. When the Cincinati zoo bred their black rhino they counted 16 mounts in one night! Try to duplicate that :D Of course one pregancy is established delivery is 2 to 3 years later with obvious consequences for the male :D :D :D[/quote

Thanks Drspeck. Thats what I was implying without going through the trouble of explaining it.  The reproduction of each mammal are on different sides of the spectrum 8)

Sorta like ground mullet and redfish :D :D

So you are telling me that a 2 pound ground mullet produces more eggs than a 15 pound redfish????? That the Ground mullet is a more prolific spawner than the redfish? And that predation on juvenile Ground mullet is not as prolific as on juvenile redfish??? :blackeye: :blackeye:

This was only meant for confusion and to keep something going on the site since it has been dead as of late.    Gmullet are able to reproduce earlier than the spotail. Whether or not anything else makes a dam I dont know. Its fun just to keep you involved in a thread.

And grouper are transgender changing gender based on age and what gender is around them at the time. Turtle gender is determined by the temperature at which the eggs incubate in. Cooler means one gender while warmer is another. I forgot which is which.

I heard about this the day after it supposedly happened and talked to every law-enforcement agency in the state and no one ever knew anything about this alleged arrest.
It appears to have been a rumor that took on a life of its own and never really happened.
