This is a WARNING!!

Do not get anywhere within range of being hit by flying shrapnel
from the new rebuilt Pier at the Gulf. As a kid I can remember being
one of those who hated, but at the same time dreamed of owning
my own boat one day.

I do remember the pyramid weights. You could really fling those a good
distance with the proper set up.

I think that jetty to the left got a boat similar to that last year. What ever happened to the captain on that boat? Loose his license?

Yeah def dont get near the piers.....I was fishing this past week on the new pier in panama city ( which btw they are absolutely killing the kings on it ) and I thought this one guy on a jet ski was gonna lose his life.....He came within 30 to 40 yards of the pier and let me tell you...those guys tried there hardest to hit his ass with a weight....Luckily he escaped...those guys dont play!

Sounds like at least the fishing piers need to have signs in the water warning boaters to keep clear by a hundred yards or so. Shouldn't the one casting be responsible for any damage caused by his or her actions?

Most do, but just like the no parking or handicapped signs in parking lots,
a lot of azzhats don't think that applies to them.
